Mayor Segarra Announces Saundra Kee Borges as Chief Operating Officer and Appoints Juan Figueroa to Corporation Counsel

(March 20, 2013) – Today, Mayor Pedro E. Segarra announced that Saundra Kee Borges, who has been serving as Acting Chief Operating Officer following the departure of David Panagore in August 2012, has been permanently named to the same position. Kee Borges a long-time city resident, previously served the city as Deputy Corporation Counsel and, at 32, was named Hartford’s first female City Manager. Mayor Segarra named Kee Borges Corporation Counsel shortly after he took office in June 2010.

Mayor Segarra Holds Five Open Forums To Discuss Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Budget

Includes Two Telephone Town Halls; The People’s Budget and Annual Public Hearing  

(March 14, 2013) – Today, Mayor Segarra, Hartford 2000 and the Hartford Public Library will host “The People’s Budget”, a forum that allows Hartford residents the opportunity to learn more about the fiscal year 2013-2014 budget and provide input to the Mayor and City Council.

(March 12, 2013) –Mayor Pedro E. Segarra today released the following statement regarding the Harriet Beecher Stowe House receiving National Historic Landmark Status:

Moody’s And Standard & Poor’s Affirm City of Hartford’s Bond Ratings and Issue ‘Stable Outlook’

Connecticut’s Capital City Maintains Bond Rating Despite Difficult Economy

(March 11, 2013) – Today, Moody's Investors Service and Standard & Poor’s (S&P) rated the City of Hartford's series 2013 A general obligation (GO) refunding bonds and series 2013B GO (new money) bonds 'A1' and 'A', respectively. At the same time, the agencies affirmed the underlying rating on the existing GO debt and provided a stable outlook on the long term rating of the City of Hartford.
