(February 11, 2013) – Mayor Pedro E. Segarra has closed all public schools on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 to expedite continued storm clean-up. City offices are closed due to the Holiday.
Blizzard Conditions Stalled Cleaning Efforts; Concerns That Overnight Low Temparatures Will Cause Further Delays
(February 9, 2013) – Mayor Pedro E. Segarra has requested additional plows and assistance from the State of Connecticut to clear city streets. The City of Hartford has 44 plows and additional heavy equipment to remove snow off the roads. Poor visibility and heavy per-hour snow fall forced plow operations to temporarily cease overnight.

(February 9, 2013) – Overnight Mayor Pedro E. Segarra issued a warning to residents to stay clear of the roads to allow for proper clean-up. High winds, pour visibility and heavy per-hour snow fall forced plow operations to temporarily cease overnight. The City will double its efforts to clear major arteries at 7am.
