QUICK GUIDE TO HARTFORD’S WASTE & RECYCLING SERVICES

Trash, recyclables, bulky waste and scrap metal are collected on a weekly schedule.  Please separate each category into groups and place at the curb on your collection day.

Residents are reminded to place only the City issued trash cart(s) at curbside.  All trash bags must be placed inside the cart and the lid must be closed.  Trash bags placed on the side of cart will not be picked up.  Please remove emptied containers, from the curb, by the end of your collection day.  Warning letters and fines will be issued to violators.

Residents can purchase an additional trash cart for $70.00.  Recycling containers are free.
