Project Activity:
The City of Hartford issues
several hundred requests for response (RFR) in the form of
proposals or bids on an annual basis. We are very appreciative of the time and effort the
supplier community puts into preparing responses to these RFRs.
To reduce administrative costs for both supplier and the
City we have made an effort to standardize and simplify RFR
documents and, additionally, have implemented an e-Procurement
service. We are always looking for ways to improve our ability to exchange
information on these business opportunities to a broad base of
suppliers as efficiently as possible. If you have any suggestions for improvement please email

ADDENDA
Bidders are responsible for ensuring that they have viewed all
addenda posted for the RFR they are interested
in. Addenda will be available from the site where the RFR
documents were posted (the State
DAS web site or www.mercurycommerce.com)
We strongly
suggest that you check for any addenda a minimum of twenty
four hours in advance
of the response deadline.
RESPONSE SUMMARIES will be
available over the Internet at the above links.
This summary information will be updated to include bids
that were delivered off-line by 5:00 PM on the day of the RFR
opening. Results
will not be provided over the phone.
AWARD
NOTIFICATION will be issued by
e-mail.
BUSINESSES
WITHOUT INTERNET ACCESS may use computers available at most public
libraries. We have also set up a computer that small
businesses may use in the Procurement Services Department.

October 1, 2004 Public Act 03-215 requires all contractors to
prequalify “before they can bid on any construction,
alteration, remodeling, repair or demolition of any public
building, for work by the state or a municipality, estimated
to cost more than $500,000 and which is funded in whole or in
