A PARKING BAN HAS BEEN ISSUED CITYWIDE BEGINNING AT 7AM ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8

(UPDATE FEB 13) The Parking Ban will be lifted as of 12am February 14th—midnight tonight . Hartford Public Schools will be open tomorrow, February 14th, with a 1 hour delay. If you are currently parked in a public school lot, you must remove your car before 6am tomorrow.

Trash pickup will begin again next Tuesday, using a holiday schedule.

(UPDATE FEB 12) - Hartford Public Schools will be closed again tomorrow, February 13th. The City-wide parking ban will end on February 14th at 12am for all neighborhoods except Downtown, which will reopen to on-street parking at noon, February 13th. Vehicles in Hartford Public School lots need to be moved by 6am on Thursday, February 14.

(UPDATE FEB 12) - Mayor Pedro Segarra is holding a press conference at 5:00pm to update residents and the media on the progress of snow removal operations. Hartford Public Schools are closed for a second consecutive day today to facilitate snow cleanup. The ban on on-street parking is still in effect; residents may park in the Morgan Street Garage or any Hartford Public School lot. City Offices are closed for the Lincoln's Birthday holiday.

(UPDATE FEB 10) - A parking ban remains in effect in the City of Hartford while crews continue to remove snow from the streets. To ease snow removal efforts, all City offices and Hartford Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, February 11th. All Public Safety and Public Works personnel are to report for regularly scheduled shifts.

(UPDATE FEB 9) - Mayor Segarra urges all residents to remain off the roadways so emergency crews can continue their snow removal efforts. The Mayor has also requested additional resources from around the State to assist in the clean-up.

(February 7, 2013, UPDATED FEB 8) - A Level 2 Parking Ban has been issued citywide beginning at 7am on Friday, February 8 and will remain in effect until further notice. ALL PARKING ON CITY STREETS IS BANNED.

A LEVEL 2 ban parking means that all parking on city streets is banned and vehicles parked on a city street are subject to fine and towing.

The Morgan Street Garage will be open and free for residents of Hartford to park in as of 10pm tonight.

Property owners and occupants: please be reminded to shovel the sidewalk and walkways— including curb cuts— for pedestrian safety. Please do not shovel or plow the snow back into the street from your driveway or sidewalk.

Residents are encouraged to call the direct line at the EOC, 860-757-0040, or 911 for emergencies. If your car is towed during the storm, call the Hartford Police Department's Records Division at 860-757-4150 until 6:30pm and then 860-757-4000 any time after.
